Microchipping Your Mini Pig
It’s very important to have your pig microchipped for their safety. This is permanent identification that will be register to your name and sometimes also registered to the name of your breeder. This ensure that your pig can always be reconnected with you.
Placing the microchip is easy. It can be done at home or by your vet. Here at Charming Mini Pigs we place the chip before the piglets leave us. The American Mini Pig Association has established a universal microchip placement of behind the left ear. You can get your own microchip via the American Mini Pig Rescue Advocates microchip assistance program found here.
